SHANNON & SUSAN REEVES

Development directors

Shannon and his wife, Susan, served for 25 and 35 years, respectively, with the campus ministry of Cru (Campus Crusade for Christ) in various roles from leading a campus ministry to men and women’s leadership development and donor relationships . The Reeves have been married for 28 years and live in Austin, Texas. They have two daughters (Ellie-21 and Julie Kate - 23), a grandson (Jeremiah - 2), a granddaughter (Emberly - 1), and two loyal dogs. 

Susan continues to serve as a volunteer with Cru in the areas of staff care, coaching and mentoring women. She has also pursued education in counseling and Biblical studies which she is able to apply in complimenting her natural gifts of empathy and authenticity. 

Shannon works to create opportunities for connection, discipleship, mentoring and service within a relational network of 700+ men in the Austin area. This network/ministry (which began in 2004 with about 10 men who simply wanted to get together to connect about life and faith) has become a monthly gathering of men of all ages, income levels, vocations and faith backgrounds. Shannon also serves as a volunteer with the City ministry of Cru in Austin, helping to reach and disciple men and women in their workplace. 

Together, Shannon and Susan have persevered through a long, challenging yet fulfilling journey as adoptive parents and are grateful for the wisdom, healing and restoration they have experienced in their faith and in their understanding of mental and emotional disorders. 

They enjoy camping, hiking, fishing, the beach, the mountains, traveling, college sports and relaxing with friends.
